Thank you for sharing the interesting teaching material. I will recommend it to my students. I hope they will make use of it and be able to gain better understanding of the difference of language structures.
They have been attending my English course for 8 months on line, where reading comprehension of a literary work Peter and Wendy is pursued through cross-reference to discussions on relating topics and comparison with derivative movies in order to grasp the implication of the description adopted in a literary work.
I do not recommend my students superficially resorting to mechanical translation devoid of actual understanding of the expression introduced in the narrative of a novel. I have contrived a method through which students are able to understand particular ways of expressing things in different languages.
In order to prepare better convenience for my students, I have been posting the contents of my lectures on twitter. Minute comparison between Japanese translation of the lines spoken in the work and English subtitle will make substantial study on the workings of language function.
As complementary practice, I have also uploaded the teaching material of my Anime Study, where English subtitle is examined in order to grasp the metaphysical theme developed in the anime work. While good achievements of the result of translation are pointed out, some problems of interpretation are also hilighted. These two posts are intended to operate as complementary means for grasping the basic structure of meaning creation in the act of reading, which must be the prerequisite of real understanding.

Andersen さんから趣旨をとても良く理解して頂けたご返事をもらいましたので、さらに日本の教育の現状と自分が行いたい教育のあり方を語る返信をお送りしました。

In the present Japanese educational system, the demand of mechanical rote learning of model answers is growing oppressive, maybe because it is easier for the administrators to grade the students in the examination undertaken in tremendously large scale.
Students are not encouraged to think seriously about the ground and meaning of existing systems. Good students are the ones who are able to guess the intent of the questioner and find out a most suitable answer even when the teacher has failed to make up a flawless question. Some students are far cleverer than the teachers in modifying the question they made and succeeding in contriving an answer that is understandable for incompetent teachers. This is the superb attainment of prep schools in Japan. The only problem is that clever students will abandon everything they have learned as soon as they have entered the university, since the acquired quality is not needed anymore except in the society of bureaucracy officials.
This is the reason why really meaningful thinking is pursued among anime and game creators and supported by enterprising young people who are utterly disappointed by the way education has tried to lead them.
I would like to teach both English and Japanese at the same time, in a class consisted of various language speakers, making use of insightful anime works, discussing the meaningful subject and encouraging alternative creation developed on the basis of their own discovery.
