Study of Re:CREATORS 68: Lecture 10 continued

Lecture 10 continued

The wording of the chant Selesia made was inaudible.
According to Wiki, Astrius is a character and summonable unit in War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. Astrius is the central antagonist of the Another Story sub-plot, as he corrupted the Crystals to achieve his personal goal.
The female form “Astria” is a character of the role playing game Astria Ascending.

Becade is a word that has something to do with winery. I am not very sure if those two words are related in any perspective. We look forward to having suggestions.

“It won’t work unless we attack her concept itself.”
Selesia’s line implies there are other ways of attack than physical.
There may be psychological and conceptual attacks.
As for conceptual attacks/defences, there were some examples described in Fate/stay night.
Please have a look below.

“Matsubara, Please. You’re the one who created this power. Make it work.
“Valiant chant of Honorius. You shall warp 3000 worlds. Agoa, Amile. Reveal wisdom’s true location. Ars Notoria wields your power in the seven directions.”

Selesia’s chant manipulates several Latin words. English counterparts will be easily guessed.
“It looks like you’ve used the concept of Hachimon Tonko.”

Agora is an ancient Greek “meeting place.” But “Agoa” is unspecified.
There is no word for “amile" that corresponds to Latin, etc. There is no English equivalent.
ARS is ART in English.
English “Notorious” means infamous.

There are faint linguistic links that seem to be related, but they are not clearly focused. May be esoteric knowledge that only Meteora can understand.

“Hachimon Tonko” seems to be a secret art described in the manga Naruto. If so, this is an instance of borrowing from other work. There are many similar examples in Ninja special holds and SF weapons. Please search examples for yourselves.

“An infinite gate.”
“Swallow it up! Ionion Aphoria!”
The spell cast by Selesia was “Ionion Aphoria!”
In Fate Zero, directed by Ei Aoki, Iskandar’s Personal Barrier was “Ionion Hetairoi” (King Alexander’s Army).
“Ionian” is the adjective form of the ancient Greek province of Ionia, which formed the core of Alexander’s army.

The word “Aphoria” was originally used to mean “barren,” but “aphorism” is still often used today in the sense of “concise expression” or “cautionary phrase.”

“Did it work? With this…”
“Did you really think that this would be the grand finale?”
“Why?”
“Why? Wherever there’s a gate, there’s an exit, Selesia. Did you really think I wouldn’t be able to point out a single exit within an infinite space?”
“If you really could, you would have already escape from this Birdcage!”
“Unfortunately, this is a custom-made prison Meteora crafted by hand. As I am now. I don’t have enough power to do that.
“As I am now?”
“I would love to kill you right here. But, we need acceptance.”
After dodging Selesia’s special moves, Altair is in a position to do whatever she wants with Selesia, but she refrains from proceeding with the plot in order to gain the approval of the audience.
