Study of Re:CREATORS 13: Lecture 4

Anime Study Re:CREATORS lecture 4
The setting of the starting part is very interesting and requires attention.
In the 4th episode, the main concept of this anime is told, and the story will accelerate from now on.

Episode 4: Mamika was saved by Alicetaria.
“I have some business in the town called “Ogikubo.” I’d like you to lead me there.”
The knight introduces herself as Alicetaria February.

Meteora takes advantage of Marine’s introduction and visits Titandigital Software.

Meteora is able to adjust herself to the foreign environment. She is wearing clothes of this world. As she was not able to see the “creator”, she is doing something instead, in a room equipped with a computer and internet connection.
After spending the night alone, Meteora appears in front of everyone.
“I made you worry…. I’m sorry. There’s one more thing I want to apologize about. There’s something I haven’t told you. It is something extremely important. I want you to listen. I was having difficulty deciding. Selesia. I’m the same as you. I have complicated feelings towards my Creator.”
“The first night when you encountered that woman, the reason I didn’t take the lead in responding to her is related to that. While it’s true that I wasn’t certain about what she’s trying to accomplish, I also had other feelings. What was my Creator who created me and my world thinking when looking at my world? I was planning to decide my stance on this world based on that. I don’t care if my Creator is an irresponsible person or a bad person.”
Meteora must be referring to the most important issue for a being created by some other existence.

Meteora is dealing with the presence of God who created her as a human being.
What are the possible actions capable by human beings who encounter the creator whose ability is limited? Meteora has been contemplating how should one cope with God? For some people, it seems religion means blind faith, to ask for a grace unto the absolute authority. But the true definition of religion is “a means of investigation for the ultimate truth”.

If human being is endowed with free will, to accuse or revolt against god, what one may be able to choose for his action? Another anime Ergo Proxy tried to depict the multifaceted relationship between God and man.

“However, if my Creator is someone who isn’t sincere about his own world… If someone like that was creating my world, my world would descend into an empty world of slaughter and fleeting hope. If it were true.… if it were true, I was planning to just observe the destruction of this world as a foreigner who washed up on the shores this world, a castaway.”
Meteora continues. “The world contains forces that try to make things make sense in order to have the function of trying to reorganize itself as much as possible in order to maintain order… Selesia and I have probably been “translated” so that we fit in this world. Instead of being two-dimensional forms, polygons or pixels we appear just like Sota. This is due to the ability to make things make sense or in other words, due to restoration power.”

When two-dimensional beings were manifested (Genkai) into three-dimensional world, they acquired flesh-and-blood bodies.
There must be an inherent restorative power of this world. The direction the world has for itself, as “perspective”.
This theme has also been explored in the game Muv-Lub Alternative

In the case of Muv-Lub Alternative, transitions and synchronization of causal information between parallel worlds are described. The one who travels between parallel worlds becomes a causal conductor who transmits fate across them.
The primary directionality the other world held seemed to be different from one Takeru Shirogane bore.
Stein’s Gate also explored similar subject, though with some variations.
These are what researchers of quantum mechanics and modal logics are seriously investigating as their most concerned interest, the particular settings that govern the whole universe.

“… or in other words, due to restoration power. However, I do not think this world is elastic enough that hundreds of “story worlds” filled with contradictions to this world can be merged with this world without negative effects. Just the fact that we are interestingly like this right now already has the possibility of producing negative effects.”
Matsubara understands Meteora’s point. “…the fact people who aren’t supposed to exist in this world are here doing things means the world has to make things make sense. That’s what you mean, right?”
“Yes. Furthermore, just as you have seen, we have kept abilities that interfere with the laws of physics and that don’t exist in this world. The world couldn’t make things make sense fast enough. Or the collision of the worlds affected the world in a way we can’t imagine. In any case, if we continue to meet and the collision of the worlds continues…”
Meteora mentions “the collision of the worlds”. All the characters can fly in the air following different principal mechanism and each of them wields supernatural ability.
The fact that fictional characters have been fine-tuned and rearranged as real-world existences shows the “will” of the world that do that. But conflicts caused by peculiar beings with abilities that ignore the existing laws of physics in the world will be great.
The perspective held by the world will be distorted by their existences.

The axis of the world will be shifted
A catastrophic butterfly effect will be brought due to the chain of causal relationships.
Those topics are discussed through “Chaos Theory” and “Turbulence Effect”.
Small effects due to fluctuations can be amplified in feedback systems
Flowing liquid will not maintain uniform state, but generates unexpected variation affected by small deviations such as tiny stone or unequal surface of the channel.

This world is not like Cosmos ordered by the rule of Apollo, but Chaos full of disorder brought about by the power of Dionysus.
The collapse of the world is possible when the limit of its elasticity is reached.

https://twitter.com/mackuro3/status/1325432813827497984

“The coefficiency of elasticity will eventually reach its limit and the equilibrium mechanisms governing the laws of this world will be damaged. If that happens, I think that eventually, everything will be “reset” someday including this world, the foundation for creating other worlds. That is what I think.”
The harmonic mechanism that governs the law throughout fictionality-actuality continuum will cause a decisive breakdown.”
“I refer to it as the “Great Destruction.” Meteora predicts a Big Collapse, that is foreseen in Metaphysical Cosmology that includes fictional worlds in its scope.
https://twitter.com/mackuro3/status/1325434884161064960

“I didn’t want to shock you needlessly. And even if that day were to arrive, it would be easier to meet our destruction if we didn’t know anything in the first place.”
Selesia says, “I thought you knew we’re stronger than that.” Meteora answers, “Your criticism is justified. My actions have injured your dignity.”

Meteora continues, “In order to sort out my feelings, there is something I tried. Yesterday, I stayed up all night playing Avalken of Reminisce. Until the end”
Meteora spent the whole night playing Avalken of Reminisce, in which she was portrayed as a character in it.
“It was amusing to watch a caricature of myself I didn’t know about… The game was very fun. That is enough. He created the world with a lot of detail and care. I could tell that he gave a lot of thought to the lives of the characters even in places that we can’t see. I will continue to be reborn eternally within all of the copies of 'Avalken' produced.”
Meteora is able to appreciate the accomplishment very well of a fictional work that depicts herself, as a seeker of all the truths. She is ready to accept fictionality in the form of one of many possible worlds, where ultimate ethics is represented.

As for the universal ethics that rule everything including the creation act of fictional worlds, please refer to the argument below.

Ethics and truths constructed only in limited places such as courtrooms, classrooms and sermons are rather typical products of deception for seekers of existential principles. This is because it will be judged that to be constrained as such must be the particularly verifiable materialization of evil.
Unfortunately, ethics in the real world are subject to various constraints of phenomenality, so in the end they can only be limited provisional ethics. Rather, only ethics confirmed in the fictional world may embody true universal attribute as ultimate ethics or absolute ethics that extend and adapt to all possible conditions as well as to all impossible situations.
It is a big mistake to think that one can be free from ethical constraints in a fictional world. Rather, it is at the interface between fiction and reality that the truth of fundamental ethics must be explored. That is why fictional subjects should not be bound by the constrained ethics of the real world.
Ethical issues must be pursued more earnestly in fictional reality and the reality of depravation than in real life and religious training. Happiness in sin, ascetic debauchery, piety in the depths of depravity, and reason hidden in madness must be pursued in fiction, all of which are isomorphic forms of fantasy, and the concept of its existence will be confirmed. The fruition of the paradox of “an immutable ethic that permeates all transitional truths” in many worlds that stretch to the impossible planes, must be sought in the realm of fiction.

Fantasy as Antifantasy 2 (8) Supernatural System Theory and Antifantasy: Space-Time Equivalence Principle and Persona Shifts

It was G. W. Leibniz who proposed the Theory of Possible Worlds that share some relationship with the argument on fictionality, I am now introducing.
