I have finished translating all the four main chapters and appendix of my study, Existence, Phenomenon and Personality: Individuality in Figurines, Anime and Game, which investigates the philosophical implication of subculture movement represented in works such as anime, game and figurines modelling. This project aimed at an argument on the primordial phase that generates existence, phenomenon and individuality in the perspective of holarchy of the universe, in which not only space and time but also mind must be considered as the constituent element of its basic texture.
The structure concept in which the story or the characters themselves are clearly aware of the constraints that a fictional work must maintain a fixed meaning as a narrative, has become the typical metafictional strategy in 20th-century fantasy literature. On the other hand, the fictional game worlds created in the 21st century introduce meta-narrative speculations that sometimes disrupt the fundamental meaning of the story itself in their unique presentation. The characteristics that are developed in the perspective of the game works that set them apart from the narrative fiction further deepen the philosophical phase that had been manifested in previous fantasy literature. What is asserted by annihilating the typological “narrative” is the thorough speculativeness that the fictional structure as a descriptive system retains. This factor can be regarded as a kind of entropy-increasing law, which promotes the fusion and integration of all the existing fictional worlds, in order to attain the fulfillment of qualia making, as latent drive in the universe itself as a whole, that may be recognized as the idea of teleology, which acknowledges the peculiar function of individual consciousness in comprehensive cosmology.
The cosmological scheme based on the reductionist picture premised on scientific principle will not only undermine the essential implication of the fictionality, but also hinder free qualia formation in individual consciousness, and will have a serious negative effect on the progression of the universe itself. An immersive interest in the fictional world and its characters, as shown by Oscar Wilde’s theory of art, is an essential element in the evolution of the universe, along with the sound preservation of the human mind. A game work that is presented as an accumulation of conceptual information in the form of a virtual world experienced in “real world,” can be regarded also as a manifestation of independent possible world. Through such a metafictional structure of games, the player/viewer who plays the work is provided with transcendent multifaceted perspectives that are not bound by the restricted constants in a single universe. Speculative impossibility suggests further realization of qualia making than gained in physically plausible prospects in natural plane for the subject of consciousness that extracts concepts and constructs only one worldview as a single unique possible world.
My discussion shows those innovative ideas are also reflected in the creation of figurines product and anime shows, fully developing the manifold possibility of the latent potential of the primordial phase of consciousness that constitutes universe, presenting an effective apology for fictionality.


This is my attempt for comprehensive conation of the “apology for fictionality”, seeking for positive implication in delusional description of impossibilities, asserted in the perspective of manifold dimensions of cosmological extension. Arguments are developed as below.

During the reign of scientific enlightenment, the true implication contained in fictionality has been utterly damaged with the penetration of the wrong recommendation of literary activity as production of realistic description of actual life, usually understood through the appellation of “novel,” as the most trustable form of artistic creation. In fact, this idea has fatally destroyed the vital in creative activities implanting wrong notions in the actual state of consciousness.
I investigated this claim in my responsible course “Modern and Novel” in the year 2021, through reexamination of the background of modern thought and the rise of fantasy literature as serious criticism on its basic premise. Though the article below is not translated yet, as it is a compilation of remote lectures developed on Twitter, it is rather easy to gain the translated form.

This is an excerpt from an argument on the theme of magic introduced in The Last Unicorn. This section discusses Kenji Miyazawa's poetry making principle which he named “mind-scape sketch” as important relating topic. In the consciousness universe, everything is generated as phenomenon through the mediation of fiction. Without fiction, reality is meaningless.
