Ambiguous Presentation and Visual Art: Polysemy in Valerie and Her Week of Wonders; translated

I have shared the translation of the second chapter of my study of meta-personality; “Ambiguous Presentation and Visual Art: Polysemy in Valerie and Her Week of Wonders”; on Acadedmia.

What can be effectively pointed out in this video work is the characteristic change in the description of the fictional world indicative of the influence of the quantum mechanics worldview that developed under the influence of thinkers such as Werner Heisenberg and Niels Bohr who had a deep understanding of both philosophy and physics, following Einstein’s announcement of the Relativity Theory in the early 20th century. In examining the foundations of fictionality argument in relation to literary trends such as actualism and surrealism, and re-examining the ideological significance as system theory of fantasy literature, the visual expression introduced in this film seems to provide a particularly useful clue for understanding the implication of fictionality. This provides important suggestions that make it possible to infer the expanded domain of cognitive norms related to the essential grasp of existence and phenomena when the subject of consciousness accepts the reality of the fictional world as an object of perception and grasps it as a set of concepts making particular qualia.
