Identity and Individuality of Derivative Fictions -- continued

The depiction of Hook walking away from the children’s underground house after successfully poisoning Peter is even more interesting. It is a scene that shows Hook’s self-consciousness and unique aesthetic propensity. Hook always takes an objective view of himself and never forgets to act out the very nature of life. The self-consciousness of a mature human being is the fundamental theme of this work. And it is obvious that this is the cause of Hook’s tragedy. It is a very striking scene that implies that the real protagonist of the original Peter and Wendy is Hook, a reflexive educated man.
Later, in the movie Peter Pan, Tink, who expired after drinking poison to save Peter, is impressively revived by Peter, appealing to people in the real world to chant the words “believe in fairies”. The typical Romantic idea is presented, alluding to the existence of hidden variables that constitute the sublime principles of the connection between the aggregate of the human mind and the physical world, and in the film Peter Pan there is also an episode that seems to imply a cosmology of Oneness. Captain Hook, who followed Wendy to discover the children’s underground house and has captured and tied up all the Lost Boys, foresees changes that are likely to take place on the island of Neverland.

A new era begins.

This line was not written in the original story, but it is a brilliant summation of the philosophical theme behind the development of the original story. This is because it implies that a decisive change will be brought to Neverland, where until now a three-way battle between children, Indians, and pirates had been practiced and had not known much change. With Peter’s return to Neverland, the ice covering the sea cracked and the flowers bloomed. And reflecting Peter’s heart, shocked by Tink’s death, the sky was covered with clouds and thunder was echoing. Reading these changes in the natural world, the brilliant intellectual Captain Hook sensed the influence of the deity named Peter behind all things. Hook is here feeling a turning point taking place, that would bring about a revolution in the history of the world. This momentous shift was brought about by the arrival of Wendy Moira Angela Darling, who was named after the Goddess of Fate. Wendy is going to take Peter’s fellow Lost Boys back to the real world, leaving Peter alone in Neverland. The line is spoken here by Hook, an intelligent observer who has a bird’s-eye view of the world of Peter and Wendy, as if to tell us that the aspect of the continuum of space-time and mind that was manifested in Peter, the deity who has the superposed phase of space and consciousness, is about to undergo a new transition as the universe develops and the persona that has been assuming the aspect of infancy has reached the end of its phase shift.
