Identity and Individuality of Derivative Fictions -- continued

A detailed examination of the film Peter Pan’s description and the inspection of the content of the individual dialogues introduced in the scenes reveals that each of the specific instances reflecting the metaphysical theme exploited in the original novel is faithfully reproduced. Many of them highlight the philosophical interest of people at the time of the publication of Peter and Wendy, who were searching for new world formula and integrated cosmology that transcended the existing scientific solution to the mechanism of the universe. In fact, James Matthew Barrie’s fantasy novel Peter and Wendy is a speculative work about the possibility of interlinking and redefining consciousness and physical existence, which was shared by intellectuals of the time and philosophical trend at the time, on the eve of the completion of Einstein’s theory of relativity, which greatly changed the relationship between time and space and the demand of re-regulation of them. It was a judicious reflection of the ideological situation in which psychology and natural science intersected.(note)

note:
As a discussion of the philosophical and scientific historical background closely related to the birth of the theory of relativity and quantum mechanics and the process of establishing these theories, James E. Beichler, a researcher in the history of physics, has written a wide range of excellent essays from a comprehensive perspective, including the involvement of consciousness in the phenomenal generation of mind and the establishment of cosmic psychology. One of them is “Twist and Shout!: Clifford’s (not so) secret program for ‘Solving the Universe’ (1992), focusing on W. K. Clifford’s mathematical work.
As a grand unified theory that can integrate space-time and consciousness, Beichler further replaces superstring theory, which is a hypothesis of the cosmological solution formula based on the principle of discretion principle, and its advanced form, membrane universe theory (brane world theory), with SOFT (Single Operational Field Theory), a grand unified theory that can integrate space-time and consciousness based on a continuity model. His argument is that superstring theory, which was supposed to be devised to compensate for the flaws of the atomistic hypothesis, which was conceived as a mechanism between discrete units of existence, cannot break its limitations because it assumes a unit of existence based on the same “discrete” principle.
Furthermore, Beichler’s idea that five dimensional multi space will suffice to explain the structure of the universe based on the research results of mathematicians before Einstein, discarding the premise of membrane model cosmology, which required the introduction of an eleven-dimensional space due to the necessity of mathematical operations, seems to be very important for the discussion of this book, as he seems to be successful in not only proposing a new axis of view that enables the completion of the ultimate grand unified theory, but also in excavating the multifaceted metaphysical aspects of the pre-Einstein state of cosmology, through re-examination of important research results that contribute to the integrated cosmology embosomed not only by Minkowski and Mach, but also by mathematicians such as Clifford and Klein.
